Eight members and associate members of the Savile Row Bespoke Association are participating in Wool House, which opens to the public in the stunning West Wing of Somerset House on Wednesday, 13th March.

Curated by stylist and interiors designer Arabella McNie for The Campaign for Wool, Wool House is a celebratory exhibition of wool in its many guises and features a stunning array of interiors, art, fashion, innovation and crafts.
The Savile Row Room demonstrates how integral wool is to the finest bespoke tailoring and contains a pattern cutting table with a chalked out suit length, paper patterns, various tools of the trade and a part-finished suit to show the intricate, normally unseen work that goes into producing a bespoke Savile Row suit.
The exhibition will also feature Newham College, which has lent some workbooks showing the different skills and stitching patterns that students are taught on the Savile Row apprenticeship programme that it runs in conjunction with the SRBA.
"Wool House is about heritage and the history of wool as well as its future,” says Arabella. “And I hope that the Savile Row Room will help inspire the next generation who are interested in fashion.”
The SRBA member and associate member contributors to Wool House are: Anderson & Sheppard, Dege & Skinner, H. Huntsman & Sons, Henry Poole & Co., Kilgour, Norton & Sons, Dormeuil and Fox Brothers and Co. Ltd.
Wool House – 13th March until 24th March 2013.
